Located on the corner of Coast Hwy and Wesley dr. lies one of the most beautiful lookout spots in all of Laguna Beach. This is one of my favorite places to walk and take pictures at. They have a walking path perfectly groomed with amazing flowers and palm trees that overlooks the coves of Laguna Beach. In the Fall/Winter you'll find that you have an entire cove to yourself during the week, and it'll make you feel like you have your own private Treasure Island for the day. Treasure Island and Heisler Park are where I take new people to show them the beauty of Laguna Beach. It's one of my favorite spots, I hope you enjoy it too!
This super cozy spot is serving up the most authentic pasta dishes in Laguna Beach.. I am in love with their Baked Ziti with meatballs, but everything on their menu is just fantastic!
Climb Mountains, not so that the world can see you, but so that you can see the world I have hiked this hike 100 times and it still never gets old to me. If you are visiting Laguna Beach for the first time then you must put this on your list of things to do! It is the perfect way to start off your morning or end your day, the hike only takes about 40 minutes total to do. You go up one mountain so the incline is steep but the view at the top is beyond worth it. You can see the entire Laguna Beach coast, and even Catalina Island on a clear day. This is the place I take all my friends and recommend to everyone at work. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this hike and know you will too!
-- How to get there: Type in Valido Trail in your maps, it should pop up with the right directions, park on the hill, the dirt trail is on your left with the chain hanging in the middle. I've been coming to this beach since high school because it truly is one of the prettiest little beaches ever. I LOVE that it isn't over populated and is more of a local spot in the Winter.. recently this Summer I've been seeing a lot more people there since Facebook has a video with this as one of the top secret spots to visit in Laguna.
They have a tower you can explore to to the far right of the beach, along with a swimming pool that fills up at high tide. I've also snorkeled here a few times and saw tons of cool fish! This beach is all shore crashing waves so its great for skim boarders and paddle boarders, but not boogie boarders or surfers. Also, in the summer they have the volleyball nets up that you can play on with your friends. This will forever be my "go to" beach because I just love it, it's BEAUTIFUL and never gets old to me. :) HOW DO I GET THERE!? -- If you are coming North from Dana Point turn right on NYES PLACE and then an immediate left under the bridge and then you can park up either of the two hills or on the street (PCH) above and then walk down. There is stair access on your left. Just discovered this amazing beach last week with my best friend! The community is gated so you will have to park on the street and then walk in, but the short walk is SO worth it! This beach is a beautiful big cove with one big beach and then a small private one on the other side of the arches to the far right of the beach. You can set your stuff up anywhere on the bigger beach. They have fire pits and bbq pits and showers to rinse off at after so this beach is the perfect beach to spend the entire day at! We LOVED this beac h and definitely will be spending a lot more beach days this summer here! Super easy to get to, park off of PCH by 3 arch bay street and then walk past the gate guy and through the community to the end of the street, turn left and the beach access is right there on the right.
One of my FAVORITE places to get drinks in Laguna Beach for HAPPY HOUR! Monday - Friday 3:00-5:00pm they have half off all Mojitos, Beer, Wine and well Drinks.LOVE The Rooftop Lounge! Amazing views of Laguna beach, amazing drinks, and I always bring amazing company! Located on the roof of La Casa Del Camino Hotel. 1289 S Coast Hwy Laguna Beach, CA 92651
Heidelberg Cafe is my favorite breakfast spot in Laguna Beach. I always get a yummy late, i've had almost all of them, they're all great, and i get their california egg white omelette. It comes with potatoes and toast with homemade rasberry jam, it's the best! All of their food is SO good, and it's walking distance from the Surf and Sand (my work) so it's super convenient. You can find this cafe on the corner of brooks st. and south coast highway. 1100 South Coast Highway, Laguna Beach. Enjoy!!
Not all those who wander are lost This is one of the prettiest and most challenging hikes in laguna. It's got a few steep hills so its an awesome workout! The trail makes a full 3.5ish mile loop, if you arent feeling up to the whole thing then just head up the first hill and you'll already see an amazing view of the canyon and ocean. Type in laguna bowl rd in maps on your smartphone then park next to the tire swing on the street and go up the trail straight ahead.. Happy exploring!
Salt Creek Trail is the perfect trail for running, biking, or walking your dog. It is all cement and starts off of the street and is a one mile path straight to the beach and then runs along the beach for another half mile. The run overlooks two beautiful golf courses and has plenty of spots to sit and watch the waves and surfers after your run. To get to the start of this trail turn left when you get to the cross streets crown valley and camino del avion. Then go straight until you see the light Ritz Point Drive and make a u-turn at that light. You'll see cars parked on the street to the right and you walk down that little hill and thats where the trail starts. In total its a little less than a 3 mile run but you can extend it longer or shorter. Love hitting up this trail after work! Hope you all try it out for yourselves, let me know if you love it too!
